Gintopia: A kingdom established long ago above an enormous deposit of gold in the midst of an oasis.

Primordial Beast: An ancient beast revered as Gods of an element. Can be bond with or be assimilated to gain their strength. Their origins are unknown.

Start of the Aurum Era

Aurum was born into royalty as the son of Lord George Samuul, the ruler of Gintopia; a vibrant and fortunate kingdom that was established within an oasis and atop a reservoir of gold. Unfortunately, his mother died early on in his life, leaving but George to raise him. Growing up, Aurum was spoiled by riches as his father, grieved by his wife's death, attempted to fill that void in his son's life. Aurum, however, was never truly satisfied with what he had. If he can get whatever he wanted on a whim, why stop? Eventually it grew into an unhealthy mindset.

The increased urgency for George to raise his son often left Gintopia without leadership. Disarray soon followed amongst the citizens to the once prosperous kingdom, and doubts fell upon the lord's court. How could he begin to let the people down for one woman? In order to ready the heir to take control upon a worst case scenario, the court sent Aurum to royal military training earlier than tradition. There he would perform strict exercises and combat drills while weighted down by gold armor from the age of six. The sudden shift in lifestyles had unknown effects on his mind, and there was only more mental poison awaiting in the shadows.

The court sage saw this hole in the power hierarchy as opportunity to gain influence over the kingdom. Shortly after Aurum started training, the old sage would begin to befriend him, tell him about tales and secrets, and personally tutor him for his studies. He had an incredible mind for knowledge and the arcane, and imparted that wisdom onto Aurum. By the age of fourteen, his mentality was warped completely, seduced by greed and a lust for power.

Conspiring with the court sage, he arranged the poisoning of his father's dinner. Shortly after, he died, and Aurum would gain control of the throne at an early age. Unfortunately for the sage, Aurum caught on to his scheme even before the assassination. Seemingly, he made the mistake of teaching him almost everything he knew. The new, crafty ruler framed the court sage and had him executed. Now, only he alone would sway the kingdom.

Not settled with just ruling the flourished land, he set off in treks with his knights to plunder more riches and resources from surrounding areas. Within a chasm he would find the discovery of a lifetime. A real, alive Primordial Being resided deep within. At first, he attempted to tame it through brute force, but suffering casualties he had to think of a new strategy. He would return with a golden collar its size and slip it around the beast's neck as his knights distracted hit. Afterwards, it was helpless but to heed his call.

Using his wealth and now newfound power, he plans on expanding Gintopia and his rule far beyond the reaches of the oasis.

PERSONALITY
Outwardly, Aurum is a charismatic, kindhearted man who puts others before himself. To an extent, it is a front. Truly, he's a vain, tyrannical man that looks out for himself and "the good of his people". A true chameleon, he portrays exactly what the other wants to keep a pristine reputation. The closest to his true nature may be him in the midst of battle. Smug, cocky, and ruthless.

APPEARANCE
He is a young male with hazel brown skin, golden hues on his eyes, and dark brown hair. He's tall and has quite the built physique. Slim yet toned and athletic. He's either seen in gold adorned clothes to match his regal status, or in a more casual dress shirt if he's outside his kingdom.

A colossal wolf-like creature with power over electricity tamed by Aurum.

Powers and Abilities

-AURUM

Superhuman Physiology: The first ruler of Gintopia was blessed by a Primordial Beast, leaving all his descendants with bodies physically superior to the average human's. Besides Aurum's natural advantages, he also undergone Gintopia's intense training regimen for its knights and future rulers. His strength, endurance, speed, and stamina are monstrous.

Polearm/Staff Proficiency: Part of his training involved weapons. Early on, Aurum found that elongated weaponry was his forté. He can even maneuver the heaviest staffs around like twigs.

Gold Manipulation: One of the few arcane arts he learned from the sage. He can mend the metal's shape and properties to his like, from armor and weaponry, to thrones and statues. He cannot create it from thin air, but it's certainly never too far from him.

Minor Arcane Ability: While not vast in them, he learned enough useful spells and hexes. A prominent one is accursed items; for example the golden collar for Midas.

Tactical Mind: Being taken under the sage's wing, he was also personally tutored by him. His conniving nature, knowledge and quick wit were all imparted onto Aurum. Crafting a well thought out scheme is second nature, and improvising in the midst of battle is just as effortless.

Physical Prowess: All Primordial Beasts boasts strength that can level mountains with a swing of their tails.

Master of the Element of Electricity: Midas is overloaded with electricity. A single follicle of his fur can power a large, modern day city! Exposed long enough outside and thunderstorms appear in its wake.

Rapid Regeneration: Insignificant and weak cuts heal in mere seconds while more sustainable injuries heal within minutes. A mortal blow is nigh impossible as wounds begin to heal the moment they're inflicted.

Berserker Rage: Sustaining enough damage will cause the beast to be enraged! He will exhaust all his energy to destroy whomever angered him. All of his abilities are doubled in strength, except for his regeneration. Wounds are more ignored than healed, and by the end of its duration he will be exhausted and must rest for a week or more.

Power Infusion: Aurum and Midas can call upon each other's strengths and abilities to add to their own.
